Frequently asked questions

Everything parents and students usually want to know before starting. Can't see your question? Just ask us.

What subjects and levels do you tutor?
We tutor Maths and Economics (with Ben) and English Literature and French (with Imogen), at both GCSE and A-Level, to any exam board we're confident in.
Which exam boards do you cover?
We work to your specific exam board — including AQA, Edexcel (Pearson), OCR and Eduqas/WJEC, as well as SQA National 5 and Higher for students in Scotland. Just tell us the board and we tailor lessons and past-paper practice to it.
Are lessons online or in person?
All lessons are one-to-one and online via Zoom, so we can work with students across Edinburgh, London and the rest of the UK — at times that fit around school.
How much does tutoring cost?
Lessons are £45 per hour, or £115 for a first bundle of three lessons. There are no hidden costs, and a monthly parent check-in and student feedback loop are included as standard. See the full breakdown on our pricing page.
Are your tutors DBS checked?
Yes. Both tutors are DBS checked, and we build on two years of online tutoring and several weeks of in-school experience learning from qualified teachers.
How do we get started?
Get in touch by booking a free intro slot, or by email, phone or WhatsApp. Tell us the subject, level and exam board, and we'll arrange a first lesson — many families start with the three-lesson bundle.
How does the monthly feedback work?
Every arrangement includes a short monthly progress check-in with parents and a quick, open feedback form for the student. We read every response and act on it — it keeps everyone invested and progress on track.
Do you offer a referral scheme?
Yes. Introduce another family and, when they book, your next session is free.
