GCSE & A-Level Maths Tutoring, Online
One-to-one Maths tuition over Zoom, tailored to your exam board and built on a relationship where tutor and student are equally invested in the result.
Maths is the subject where small gaps compound fastest — a shaky foundation in one topic quietly undermines the next. Our tutoring is built to find those gaps, close them, and then turn understanding into exam marks. Every student works one-to-one with Ben, online via Zoom, at a pace and in a style that suits them.
What we cover
We tutor Maths at both GCSE and A-Level, to any exam board we're confident in — including AQA, Edexcel (Pearson) and OCR, plus SQA National 5 and Higher for students in Scotland.
GCSE Maths
- Number, algebra, ratio & proportion, geometry, probability and statistics
- Foundation and Higher tier, including the problem-solving and multi-step questions that decide top grades
- Exam technique: reading questions correctly, showing method, and picking up every available mark
A-Level Maths
- Pure maths: algebra, functions, calculus, trigonometry, sequences and proof
- Applied maths: statistics and mechanics
- Bridging the well-known "GCSE-to-A-Level jump," where many capable students first struggle
Who teaches it
Maths is taught by Ben, a Maths & Economics student at the University of St Andrews — whose School of Mathematics and Statistics is currently ranked first in the UK (Guardian University Guide 2026) — with A-Levels in Maths, Economics and English Literature. Having sat these exams recently, he brings genuine, current insight into what examiners reward — not just how to get the answer, but how to present it for full marks. Our approach to Maths
We teach from past papers and mark schemes, so practice always mirrors the real exam. Just as importantly, we make sure a student is in the right head space to learn — Maths anxiety is real, and a calm, confident student makes far more progress than a stressed one. A monthly parent check-in and an open student feedback loop keep everyone invested and progress on track.
